Wired glass
It is made by heating ordinary plate glass to red-hot softening

Usage
(1) In accordance with the provisions of the construction law, wire
glass is used to prevent fire. First, ordinary glass is easy to
break when cut. The strength of the cut part is about half that of
the filamentous glass, so it is more prone to thermal fracture than
that of the filamentous glass.
(2) The wire mesh surface of the glass is specially treated,
generally not easy to rust. The incisible part is in the state of
no treatment, so the water will sometimes rust. If severe, the
notch may crack due to volume expansion, reducing edge strength.
This is what causes the thermal fracture.
